Hailey Sia

Been wanting to write down Samantha’s pregnancy journey with Hailey but just couldn’t find anytime to write it down or rather I was too lazy. Hahaha.

We found out that Samantha was pregnant on Mikaela’s birthday. How wonderful! Hahaha. Ok…. So this time we were more experienced and we were constantly telling Mikaela that she has mei mei coming soon. She was so so so excited! Everyday kissing Samantha’s stomach. Sweet!

Hailey was born on 23rd August 2018. However, if we were late by 1 more day, Hailey will not be around anymore. So things started on 21st Aug. Everything was normal, Hailey was kicking and moving around as usual. We were suppose to deliver her on 29th August 2018. We are gonna induce, same as when we deliver Mikaela. So on 22nd Aug, it was a public holiday. Samantha had an uneasy feeling and Hailey wasn’t really kicking but she was like just moving, rolling. We were really quite worried, however we feel maybe we should just walk in to Dr Khi’s clinic to induce on 23rd August instead. We went in early in the morning. As we are gonna induce, we didn’t want to waste money to do scan to check on Hailey.  We went to the delivery suite and waited. Waited and waited til dinner time. Like previously Mikaela’s delivery, when I want to go out of hospital to buy dinner, nurse told us that we are ready to deliver. Dr Khi came and we did the pushing and followed her instructions. As Samantha doesn’t want me to see the actual scene of the baby coming out the vagina, I stood beside her. Halfway through, we noticed Dr Khi and the nurses face were in a shocked, Dr Khi just quickly get Hailey out. What we saw shocked the both of us. The umbilical cord was tied around Hailey’s neck and she is purple color. Wasn’t crying. Dr Khi quickly unwrapped the cord and Hailey cried! Whew~~~!! It was damn scary! She showed us the cord and its damn long. She say it’s longer than usual. After settling Hailey, Dr Khi left and the nurses were still around. They told us we were very very lucky that we came in early instead of waiting because Hailey might be dead by then as the cord was strangling her. One of the nurse shared with us that a few weeks ago, a couple came in late and resulting in stillborn. The mother still need to push the baby out but the baby is already dead. I really can’t and don’t want to think how devastating is it for the couple. Hai…. But we just want to thank God for protecting Hailey. Scary experience!!! Now she is growing well and a very happy baby!! Hehehehe. Mikaela totally fall in love with her mei mei… Kisses and hugs every single day. Always so proud to show her friends Hailey whenever we fetch her from school. She is really a great jie jie…

Now I have 2 beautiful daughter… Will always love them and protect them.. Always be there for them…. 我的两个小宝贝.
